Teaching since 1978, Patricia is committed that each Stepping Out Performance participant overcomes the fear of facing an audience, learns the practical steps of being onstage with confidence, and experiences expanding her/his voice to fill up the room.
Patricia's intention is to awaken a real sense of passion for singing and a deep sense of fulfillment in performance. Unique abilities will be revealed!

As the Executive Producer Stepping Out Performance, Sylvia's intention is to create a space in which students transform their relationship with their voice, themselves and others.
An insightful coach and leader of inquiry, Sylvia ignites the spark of intuition and awareness of the inner voice and its unique expression.
In a 50-year career, Patricia has performed in a wide variety of venues from tiny clubs like the internationally famous Vancouver folk club, the Bunkhouse, to major concert halls like The National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Following her Juno Award in 1976 for CBS, she appeared in many TV Variety shows as well as appearing onstage as the lead in a variety of Musical Theatre productions. She went on to release six albums and continues to produce and arrange albums for other artists.
Being a successful Musical Theatre performer and leading her own pop rock bands throughout the 1970s, Patricia was well positioned in 1982 to take on developing the Stepping Out vocal performance class. The core premise of the program is breakthrough technology. The class was developed by the Actor’s Institute in New York where Patricia trained. She presented, produced and taught this very successful program until 2008, in Toronto, Vancouver and the Yukon.
Patricia went on to found the Young People’s Opera Society of BC (http://www.yposbc.org/) in 2005 and became the recipient of a City of Surrey Civic Treasures Award in 2013.
In 2019, at the urging of past participants, Patricia teamed up with Sylvia and Trish to bring Stepping Out Performance to the Surrey community!
